Having called Australia home now for the last 20 years, Ismail understands the migration process as an applicant and as a professional.

Ismail decided to specialise in Immigration, as this area of law provides the opportunity to engage on a personal level with clients. Client service is at the core to what we do and we start by asking, how can we help you?
Outside of work, Ismail is actively involved in his local community and strongly believes that in order for us to develop individuals who actively contribute to society as a whole, a grassroots effort is required within each community.
Ismail loves sports and played soccer, tennis and cricket for a number of years leading into his 30’s. Now closer to his 40’s, he still dabs in a bit of social soccer but mainly confines himself to being a supporter from sidelines.

Ismail graduated from Griffith University in 2009, with a dual degree in Law and Urban & Environmental Planning. In 2010, he completed the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at QUT. In 2012, he completed a further Honours Program with Griffith University and he is currently enrolled in a Graduate Certificate in Islamic Psychology with Charles Sturt University (CSU).

In 2011, Ismail had a research paper published in the Alternative Law Journal Vol 36(3) 2011, titled: Divorce in Australia from an Islamic Law Perspective. Whilst IE Lawyers only specialises in Immigration law at present, we may look to specialise into certain areas of family law in the future.
